Volunteer Camp Host 2011 – Whistler RV Park and Campground

Couple – Assistant Park Manager

This is a flexible, part time management support position (approximately 20 hours per week) for a couple. A camper trailer or motor home is required and free accommodation will be provided. The position runs from May through September, a seasons commitment is preferred (flexible for the right candidates).

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Support Park Manager and fill in on days off
  • Supervise other employees and delegate responsibility
  • Assigns sites, collects rental fee, use of reservation system
  • Other tasks may include performing minor maintenance of facilities, reporting incidents and illegal activities, as well as answering visitor questions and receiving and reporting feedback.
  • Create a positive work environment
  • Command a presence of respect and humility; demonstrating the ability to motivate and readily communicate expectations and follow up.

Qualifications

  • Previous management experience
  • RV knowledge
  • Demonstrate a passion for excellence and a love for service.
  • Strong oral communication and people skills
  • Strong computer and organizational skills
  • Non-confrontational, patient with the public and sensitive towards individuals’ privacy.
  • Positive attitude

Supervision and Training

  • The Camp Host Assistant Managers will work under the supervision of the Park Manager and will require working with all RV Park and Campground staff.
