Maintenance Position Overview

The Volunteer Camp Host, Maintenance, is a flexible, part time position (approximately 20 hours per week).

A camper trailer or motor home is required and free accommodation will be provided in exchange for compensation.

Tasks may include performing minor maintenance of facilities and park grounds, garbage duty, night patrol and light manual labour.

Position is for the duration of May through September, a seasons commitment is preferred (flexible for the right candidate).

Qualifications

  • Maintenance/groundskeeper experience
  • Electrical, equipment operation, general automotive maintenance and repair, plumbing, and/or carpentry experience an asset
  • Ability to lift, walk up and down hills, and bend without difficulty
  • Non-confrontational, patient with the public
  • Positive attitude
  • First aid an asset

Supervision

  • Candidate will work under the supervision of the Park Manager and will require working with all RV Park and Campground staff and volunteers.
